Dr Alan M Gwynn– Male
MBBS 1987 (Barts and The London), MPH, MRCGP, DMJ, DCH, DRCOG, DFPH, DOccMed
Dr Gwynn is now the senior partner having joined the practice in 2002. Before moving to the Cotswolds he was a GP and Police Surgeon in the city of Cambridge. After qualifying to be a GP in 1992 he went back to university to do a Masters Degree in Public Health medicine. He is the South Cotswolds Commissioning Chair and leads on service development projects for Gloucestershire CCG. He is passionate about breaking down barriers between organisations so that we all work together to ensure the best services are available to the practice and locality populations. He is interested in all aspects of general practice but particularly enjoys dermatology, minor surgery, joint injections, diabetes, cardiology and occupational health medicine.

Dr William Norman – Male
Dr Norman joined The Avenue as a full time partner in 2005 after a number of years working in a practice in Cambridgeshire where he also ran the local GP training scheme. He is qualified as a GP trainer and supports the GP Registrars who work with us in the practice. When not at work he enjoys spending time with his wife and son, visiting contemporary art galleries and looking after their two chickens Miranda and Lola.

Dr Vanessa Tiffney  – Female
BSc Med Sci (St. Andrews) MBChB 1993(Manchester), MRCGP, DFSRH
Dr Tiffney qualified as a GP in 2000 and moved to the surgery in 2008 from Scotland. She works part time as a partner at the practice. She enjoys all aspects of general practice but has particular interests in general medicine, research , women’s health and family planning. She is qualified as an clinical supervisor to assist with training in the practice.

Dr Anna Keitley – Female
Dr Keitley joined the practice as a Partner in 2011, having trained with the RAF and then spent 8 years as a GP partner in Swindon. She has taken over the role of Senior medical officer at 29 Regt, South Cerney, and also has interests in womens’ health, respiratory and musculoskeletal medicine. She is also involved with GP training, acting as Clinical Supervisor to GP registrars within the practice. Dr Keitley also sits on the Local Medical Committee representing the South Cotswold GPs. She lives locally with her family and thoroughly enjoys all the outdoor pursuits that the area has to offer.

Dr James Urquhart – Male
BSc (Hons) Psychology, MBChB (Manchester), MRCS (Edinburgh), DRCOG, MRCGP.
Dr Urquhart joined the practice as a Salaried GP in November 2013. Prior to becoming a GP he trained as a General Surgeon in the Northwest of England. As well as working in General Practice, Dr Urquhart also works in Accident and Emergency Medicine and in Sexual Health at The Great Western Hospital in Swindon. He enjoys the great outdoors and is keen on hillwalking and mountaineering.

Dr Helen Bromwich – Female
(Bristol 1995) MB ChB, MRCGP
Dr Bromwich’s special interests are care of the elderly and diabetes care. She is a partner at the practice and has been a GP here since 2000.

Dr Kate Digby – Female
Dr Digby joined the practice in 2015 and became a partner in 2016. Dr Digby is a GP trainer and has an interest in family planning.

Dr Rachel Wickett – Female
(London 2006) BSc (Hons), MBBS, DRCOG, MRCGP
Dr Wickett enjoys all aspects of general practice. Her particular interests are child health and fertility medicine. She joined the practice in 2014 and became a partner in 2017.

Dr Alex Harris – Female
(Southampton 1995) MB, MRCGP, DRCOG, DFFP
Dr Harris has been with the practice since 2014 and is interested in all aspects of general practice. She is also qualified to fit coils.

Dr Robert Mawdsley – Male
(Aberdeen 2006) BSc(Hons), MB ChB, MRCGP
Dr Mawdsley joined the Practice in 2016 and has a particular interest in dementia and mental health. Dr Mawdsley runs a weekly minor operations clinic.

Dr Holly Cavanagh – Female
(Newcastle 2009) MBBS.MRCGP
Dr Cavanagh joined the practice in 2017 and enjoys all aspects of general practice. Her particular interests are child health and ENT.
